Wedding decor inspiration – an Exquisite Weddings table tops shoot

Last December Exquisite Weddings Magazine asked me to photograph their editorial piece showcasing the decorating talents of some amazing San Diego designers. They paired event coordinators with their favorite florists and let them do whatever they wanted. It was a really fun project to photograph, I mean, flowers, fun girl time, taking photos and a great venue…. sweet!

Attention Newly Engaged Couples!

Bride and Bloom Magazine selects one engaged couple per issue to feature in their magazine. If selected you get to see what three different florists would create for you. I was lucky enough to get to photograph the feature from Fall 2007 and it was SO COOL to see what the florists did for the couple. You can see that feature on my blog HERE.

Bride & Bloom Magazine

December is crazy on the inside here at the studio. You would never know it from reading the blog. You don’t see a ton of posts from me this time of year because there is just too much work to be done to ensure everyone gets what they need for the holidays.

I do feel a bit guilty, however, about not posting anything for a while, so I thought I’d share with you a recent magazine feature with Bride & Bloom I shot that came out a month or so ago. I should have posted it sooner but better late than never.

The premise of this shoot was not only to show wedding decor, but to challenge three floral designers to please one couple. They were given the wedding “colors” and each designer showcased a different option for the couple.

The designers are creating all this for a real couple; clients of Kelly Aull of Mint Weddings. Maybe she will make a comment below about who her client decided to go with. Kelly?

My latest Feature! Inside Weddings – Winter 2007

It is so fun to see my work in print! I mean I see it in albums all the time, but to pick up a national Magazine like Inside Weddings and see an event I photographed is beyond cool! A big congratulations to our featured couple Jac and Eric. Without their invitation to shoot their Las Vegas wedding at the fabulous Wynn Hotel we wouldn’t be here chatting.

And Happy 1 year anniversary you two!

Exquisite Weddings Magazine

San Diego has a new wedding magazine! Published by San Diego Magazine… a staple of San Diego life for years… those good folks have started their own wedding magazine focused on the San Diego scene.

I had a lot of fun helping them out with some editorial content. The cover plus the Bridesmaid fashions were on my plate for this issue. We had a wonderful time shooting at Estancia La jolla. The staff at Estancia are the best. Props to Erika for all her help!
