Purple and Chartreuse Wedding at The Santa Luz Club – Lindsay & Barry

Lindsay and Barry had me come up for a visit earlier this year to San Francisco to shoot their engagement photos. We had a great time wandering around the Ferry Building, out on the pier and around downtown. We had a great time and I knew they would bring their great vibe to their wedding day. I’ve definitely been looking forward to this one all year.

Purple and chartreuse ruled the reception. The best idea (to this sweet tooth) were the individual berry pies and ice cream bar that matched perfectly with the decor and were the replacement for cake. I wish I could have tasted one, but I’m sure I can order one from Michele Coulon sometime. Now that berries are in season today would probably be a good time, oh yes!

Thanks everyone for such a fun and detail filled event. Great light and lots to photograph is a photographer’s dream! Mary, you rock!

Country Vintage Wedding at Condors Nest Ranch – Alyson & Rob

This sweet little wedding way out at Condor’s Nest Ranch was so cute and fun. I love this ranch and am ready to move in tomorrow if they’ll take me. Alyson and Rob did a wonderful job at creating a casual and fun atmosphere complete with a do it yourself taco bar and photo booth.

Lauren and Corey… though I suspect it was more Lauren… went all out on the details at this wedding. She had great help too, both her Mom and Rachel Peniche of Plan it San Diego were in on the fun. After the months of planning and gardening it was finally show time. Lauren’s parents’ backyard was a stunning setting for the ceremony… really people pay good money for a setting like this!

Lauren was a referral from a my past bride Betsy. Thank you Betsy!!! It is always great to see some familiar faces at a wedding and know that my wedding couple like my work enough to send me their friends. For the coordinator, Rachel, she had the fun of 9 of her past mothers-the-bride attending this wedding. Crazy!

Itty-bity engagement session at the Grand Del Mar – Julia & Pete

Julia & Pete just wanted some images they could use for their stamps on the invitations. A cute idea! Since they were coming to the Grand Del Mar from out of town we planned to meet up there, get to know each other (we hadn’t met yet) and get those shots for the stamps done. What a fun couple, I’m so looking forward to this wedding!

I always love calls for weddings held in the middle of the week. A cute little celebration on a Wednesday? I’m there!! An elopement on a Tuesday, love to!

Isabel and Matt’s wedding is the perfect example of small and intimate. I believe they had about 10 people total. A little ceremony, some champagne, a first dance and a wonderful dinner with family. All the difficult planning from out of town made so much easier by the small guest list!

Italian Vacation – post 1 – Greenland

A little departure from the regular feed of weddings and portraits. After nearly a year of planning and having to turn away bookings for the month of April we are finally in Firenze! I’ve wanted to visit here ever since Art History 101 and finally after 17 years its a reality!

I’m not planning on chatting a lot, but I do want to post images. LOTS of images!

To start off here are some images taken from the flight over. We flew over the tip of Greenland (which is white not green) and to catch it you had to be one of the few people still awake at 4:30am pacific time. I rarely sleep on planes so of course, I was up. I wish they were a bit less “dirty” but those plane windows are a mess!
