April in Paris – A Black and White Tour of the city

I LOVE TO TRAVEL.  And when I do I’m always wandering around my new city trying to capture its essence to bring back home with me.  Paris is of course high on the list of must-see places and for good reason.  There is just so much to see!  I pretty much just wander around until I’m good and lost then either pull out my google maps to find my way back or start asking in my pigeon (insert language here) for directions.  Sometime I’m so lost I find a cafe to sit and have a glass of wine until I hear someone speaking English to ask help from.

Armed with a hodgepodge of a list of must see, eat, do things in Paris from good friends, my friend Jen and I set out to conquer the city.  Unfortunately my friend got sick so I had to do a lot of the conquering on my own.

These are just the phone pics.  I’ll post another time with my “real camera” photos soon.

Senior Portraits on Coronado Beach, San Diego

This was a really fun senior portrait (senior as in high school, not retiree) session with two best friends.  Sophie & Andrew have such a great camaraderie that it was only natural to do their session together.  We made sure to get photos of them both together and separately.  I love that Sophie brought her surf board and wanted to play with the beach-girl theme.  I knew we would get enough “appropriate” images for her family that throwing in this fun twist just for her would work.  Neither of them wanted their parents there, but it wouldn’t have hurt to have had at least one extra person there to help carry props and clothes.
