I’m so bad at remembering to update here when I get published in magazines or in blogs. I’m rather good at getting published but I find just getting the actual weddings posted is consuming enough. Soooo with a little time to spare today I’m posting a recent Hotel Del wedding feature run by Ceremony Magazine – San Diego edition. Thanks for the feature Amy & gang! A while back I posted an editorial shoot I did for Bride & Bloom Magazine. You can see that feature here: Bride & Bloom. The feature was about Courtney & Brett’s journey in finding the right florist for the look they had in mind for their reception decor. After three different set ups they chose LaVonne at Adorations to fulfill their vision of their big day.

So today I’m happy to be featuring the REAL wedding (and design) based on that preview from December. Big thanks to Kelly Aull at Mint Weddings for all her fabulousness!

Yes, that is a baby Bass in that centerpiece! The whole cocktail theme centered around Brett’s love for hunting and fishing, complete with live fish.

My first photography book! “Professional Wedding Photography”

Ok well, it isn’t just MY book… I share the honor of being interviewed with some wonderful friends of mine.

I’m very proud to have a 12-page interview in the just-out book “Professional Wedding Photography: Techniques & Images from Master Photographers” by Lou Jacobs, Jr. (Amherst Media). In addition to the interview, I have 16 images in the book. Nine other photographers are also profiled, including my good friends Andrena Douglass (one of my favorite friends), Chenin & Doug Boutwell (who throw the best ice cream parties ever), John and Dalisa Cooper (always with great smiles), Jen and Stephen Bebb (the best Vegas party pals), Cliff Mautner (Cliffie!), and George Weir (fantabulous). Attention Newly Engaged Couples!

Bride and Bloom Magazine selects one engaged couple per issue to feature in their magazine. If selected you get to see what three different florists would create for you. I was lucky enough to get to photograph the feature from Fall 2007 and it was SO COOL to see what the florists did for the couple. You can see that feature on my blog HERE.
