Julia and Pete fell in love with the Grand and each other while on vacation in San Diego. When they decided to get married they knew right away THIS was the place for their event. They both travel often, in fact they met on a plane, so the subtle theme of the wedding was travel. You’ll see the beat-up suitcase as a grooms cake, the luggage tags and not shown, the favors to their guests were ipod-shuffles.

The Mother of the Bride was adamant that we have photos of Julianty in her Chinese wedding dress, so what’s a bride to do? Well she got all prettied up in the red dress, we took photos, then she changed into her white dress for the rest of the day. So fun to be able to get to photograph two getting-ready sessions with her! Photographing at the Prado is always great, such an easy place to work. I’ve yet to get tired of it even after all the years I’ve worked there. A special thanks to Terri Rippe for being a great 2nd shooter with me!
