The Milton Kids
November 16th, 2007
I’ve had a friend I’ve known since 3rd grade. We were the ones in trouble for talking during class and giggling at slumber parties and keeping everyone up. My Dad taught her how to burp the word “burrito” at our dinner table. I’m sure her Mom just loved my influence on their innocent daughter. Sandi and I were a team back then but sadly she moved away around 6th grade. Friends were a dime a dozen at that age and they came and went with the seasons it seemed… everyone that is except Sandi. We managed to not only keep in touch once she moved to Tahoe, but even managed a few visits in our teen years. Saving up allowances to spend on airfare. We don’t talk all the time, but she’s one of those friends you can just pick up where you left off. I love that about her.
Sandi’s been busy recently having children, working, moving and running her household. I sadly haven’t seen much of her and I’d never photographed her 3 kids before. I finally made up for it and got my butt out there (now Vegas) with my camera. It was great catching up and just hanging out with her family. I’m thinking this just might have to become a yearly trip.
