Karen was one of those awesome, laid-back brides that was planning her wedding from afar. Because of distance she was really open to allowing me to help her plan and make suggestions. I love having some input when possible so I can do my best to make great images taking into account logistics, lighting, etc…
Karen already had the Grand Del Mar (a beautiful Italian Villa Styled Resort) picked out as her reception venue but needed help finding the perfect spot for the ceremony. She wanted to incorporate her husband’s Italian heritage and wanted a church. The obvious suggestion from me was Our Lady of The Rosary in San Diego’s Little Italy. The local Farmer’s Market was happening that morning as well, which made for some fun while we walked around the area to do their photos.
With plenty of time for getting ready photos, ceremony, B&G portraits and the reception this wedding was a joy to photograph!
